BIG Brother has called a snap eviction and will also send an intruder into the house next week.

THE Nine Network has announced details of the eviction to everyone except the 15 remaining housemates.

Dreamworld on the Gold Coast, where fans pay as much $50 to attend the live evictions at an amphitheatre at the theme park, had flagged the eviction on its website.

Dreamworld sells tickets to the live shows and it has been advertising a “Surprise Eviction” on Monday and an “Intruder Special” on Wednesday.

Nine says one of the five housemates — Katie, Cate, Dion, Travis and Priya — being up for Tuesday’s eviction will actually leave on Monday.

Another of the five potential evictees will leave Tuesday.

Big Brother’s live shows are extremely well attended but the same cannot be said for its Brisbane ratings, once a stronghold for the network, which have halved.

Big Brother was a Brisbane ratings winner for Nine in 2013 and it was regularly among the top three shows each night.

However, its Brisbane overnight OzTAM’s ratings have halved, which highlights the problems facing the Nine series.

The new season is in its third week and it’s drawing audience numbers in the vicinity of 130,000 in Brisbane.

In the third week of the 2013 series, Big Brother’s Brisbane audience was around the 250,000 range.

The series could be suffering in the ratings because it’s being screened in a later timeslot and the show is running for 90 minutes and finishing past 10pm.

There’s also been some backlash on social media and Big Brother fans sites about the casting and the number of, and type of, stunts on the show.

Big Brother only screened in Sydney and Brisbane on Thursday night and was praised on the Behind Big Brother website for being the best episode yet this series.

However, the audience numbers for Sydney and Brisbane were down 22,000 and 10,000 on last Thursday’s corresponding show.

Once again the fashionistas are descending for London fashion week. With Somerset House and central London transforming for their arrival, it’s fascinating to see the way in which we the consumer can now access the sometime previously rarified air of the fashion world. Fashion’s evolving – not just into more and more extreme sights on the catwalk – but behind the scenes too, as brands adapt to new consumer expectations around how, when and why they want to interact. From the in-store experience and utilising individual shopper data for mobile and flexible delivery options, brands have an overwhelming number of ways to innovate and disrupt the retail space.
