Light to moderate rain due to a trough or extension of a low-pressure area is expected over the Ilocos, Cordillera, Cagayan Valley and Central Luzon regions on Monday, national weather service PAGASA said.

PAGASA forecaster Jori Loiz also said on dzBB radio that Metro Manila and the rest of the country will continue to have isolated rain showers or thunderstorms.

Loiz explained that even though its trough was affecting the country, the LPA itself was outside the Philippine area of responsibility.

Meanwhile, winds will be light to moderate from the southwest over Luzon and the Visayas, and from the south to southwest over Mindanao.

Coastal waters throughout the archipelago will be slight to moderate, PAGASA said.
